traditional sushi brandings are either focused on the traditional Japanese approach or a kawaii look and feel. I wanted to do something different, something modern and unusual.

The name Ginger immediately made me think of a cat. A gluttonous cat who dreams to ate your sushi rolls... But, luckily can't reach them.

So, I imagined a brand design around this mascot. I used orange in reference to Ginger, plus it's a punchy color associated with optimism and energy. I added a deep purple to make a high contrast and add a touch of creativity and extravagance.
